Formula One heads to Baku, Azerbaijan for Round 17 of the 2024 championship this week. Before we take a look at the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix odds and best bets. It was Charles Leclerc and Ferrari who pulled off the home win last week in the Italian Grand Prix as the constructors’ title battle closed to just an eight-point difference between Red Bull and McLaren.
The Baku City Circuit is the first street course since Round 9 of the championship in the Canadian Grand Prix. The 6.003 km (3.730 mi) is the fourth longest circuit on the schedule. The circuit features 20 tricky turns and two DRS zones as they race near Baku Boulevard.
Red Bull Racing has won the last three here with Sergio Perez victorious in the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. 2022 went to Max Verstappen and 2023 made Sergio Perez the only two-time winner of the event.

Sergio Perez Top 4 Finish +275
Red Bull isn’t the dominant team we’ve gotten used to over the last few years anymore. That being said, Sergio Perez’s performance at this circuit has really stood out and he’s not nicknamed the “Street Course King” for no reason. Most recently he had rough outings in Monaco and Canada. Before that though, fourth at Miami, fifth in Australia, and second at Saudi on other street course circuits.
There were questions about Perez being replaced at Red Bull after a rough stretch of races. They held strong in their commitment to him, and since the summer break, he’s got four straight top-eight finishes, putting him in the ballpark to use his street course expertise to get into the top four. And don’t forget, he’s the only two-time winner of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The fastest Qualifier is worth a shot at 40/1 as well.
Both Team Drivers to Score Points – Haas (+1400)
Kevin Magnussen is suspended from this race for accruing too many damage points, which if you’ve ever been on IRacing you can completely understand! In his place steps the young Phenom Oliver Bearman. You may remember him from his start in Saudi Arabia in place of Carlos Sainz after his emergency Appendectomy.
Bearman became the youngest driver in F1 history to score points in his debut. Saudi, like Baku, is a street course and while he isn’t in a Ferrari this time, Haas has shown a lot of speed and he’ll be driving full-time for the team in 2025.
The other half of this bet is Nico Hulkenberg. Hulkenberg has been in the points or finished one spot outside of the points in 11th in 11 of the 16 Rounds of the 2024 Grand Prix season. He’s always battling for a spot in the points, and at 14/1 this duo is too good to pass up.

Oscar Piastri to Win (+500)
McLaren has quickly turned into the best team on the grid and the young star Piastri has been a big part of that. His teammate Lando Norris checks in as the favorite, but Oscar presents a lot of value at his number.
In six straight races he’s finished in the top four, four of those six have been top-two finishes. Piastri has been hitting as of late and has shown some street course prowess with second place at Monaco and fourth places at Saudi Arabia and Australia before McLaren was clicking how they are now.
