Day two of The BMW Championship is here, and we are ready to cash a slip. Sungjae Im was an absolute menace in round one as he easily cashed his prop. We lost Xander more than 4.5 birdies by the hook because of a few narrowly missed putts. Below, we will look at the BMW Championship Underdog Fantasy Pick’em slate and find some selections to play or fade.

BMW Championship Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Plays – August 23rd, 2024
The scores were odd in round one. We saw a few guys go low in their round, and others struggled. Way too many golfers could not figure out the landing point with sand wedges, which was tilting to watch.
Max Homa Higher Than 71.5 Strokes
Where were you when I brought Max Homa back to Twitter? I threw a subtle jab at the poor play in round one, and somehow, word got back to him. He replied with his first tweet in over two months. Either way, I did not like what I saw from Max out there, and the stats back that. His driver is so far off the baseline that he has for the last two seasons, and it is costing him out there.
Like I said above, there are scores to be had out there, but if you miss fairways, you are toast. I do not trust Homa off the tee and believe he is a great fade for your Underdog Pick’em entry.
Collin Morikawa More Than 4.5 Birdies
Collin was striping the irons today, leaving much to be desired on the greens. Taking a look at the stats, Morikawa is rated as one of the best players in the field in SG: Approach, which is no surprise.
I figured he would bounce back in that category after the poor week in Memphis, and that is what he did. Collin has been putting better of late, so look for him to dial in that flat stick and roll a few more birdies in round two.
