SGPN Parlay For Friday (August 16th): MLB Parlay

MLB Friday: Chicago White Sox vs Houston Astros

Start Time – 8:10 PM EST

We’ve got the Astros coming in on an eight-game win streak and the White Sox… well, they’re the White Sox. As a result, we’re going to ride that hot hand on both offense and defense as part of this parlay.

The defensive side that we’re going to ride is the strikeouts from Spencer Arrighetti. This guy has been mowing down people as of late. I took note when he fanned eight Dodgers back at the end of June. However, that looks like child’s play after the fact. He followed up that game with games of 12 and 13 strikeouts against the Rays and Red Sox respectively. That brings him to 33 strikeouts over a three game span, and we’re only looking for seven here.

I’ll pair that with the Astros team total. Despite going under 4.5 in each of the last two games, they’ve been hot. They have surpassed that total in five of the last seven games – averaging 5.71 runs per game over that span. Add in that Garrett Crochet hasn’t been as effective as of late and has had shorter outings, and this should be a walk in the park.
