Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Preview
The Dallas Cowboys join the Colts as super quiet teams in the free agency market. Eric Kendricks was a good pick up with Leighton Vander Esch retiring and Ezekiel Elliott returning home after losing Tony Pollard. Many thought the Cowboys may further address running back in the draft but they chose not to. Rico Dowdell and Elliott will likely share the backfield.
Quarterback Dak Prescott’s contract situation remains up in the air, as does wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. He wants a contract extension like so many star wide receivers have gotten this offseason, but Jerry Jones seems to be in no hurry to get that done. Despite the quiet off-season, the team will have big expectations again this season.
The heat is cranked up on head coach Mike McCarthy, along with Dak Prescott to deliver the Cowboys a strong playoff run for the first time in a long time. If they can’t deliver that, they may be somewhere else next season.
