2024 Indoor Football League National Championship Best Bets
IFL lines aren’t as heavily bet as NFL or even CFL lines, and they’re a lot less sharp because there isn’t as much action. It’s a lot easier to spot a square number with an Indoor Football League, and there might be a number or two worth taking a chance on for the 2024 Indoor Football League National Championship.
2024 Indoor Football League National Championship Favorite: Green Bay Blizzard +220
The Green Bay Blizzard ended the 2024 IFL regular season with a 13-3 record and are the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Having the top seed means that Green Bay gets home-field advantage in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Green Bay went 7-1 at the Resch Center this year.
The Blizzard are led by second-year quarterback Max Meylor. Meylor has throws for 2,452 yards in 15 games this year. He racked up 39 touchdown passes against only four interceptions. Meylor has also rushed for over 400 yards and scored 29 touchdowns on the ground.
Green Bay also has the top-scoring defense in the league. The Blizzard have only allowed an average of 33.7 points per game on defense this year, almost four points lower than the next closest team.
Green Bay gets an easy first-round matchup against the Quad City Steamwheelers and then gets the winner of Frisco / Massachusetts in the semifinal round. The Blizzard have rolled just about everyone at home this year and have the easiest path to the championship.
Getting the Blizzard at better than 2-to-1 for the National Championship is a great bet and should be a part of an IFL betting portfolio.
2024 Indoor Football League National Championship Contender: Bay Area Panthers +360
The Bay Area Panthers are the top seed in the Western Conference. However, even for the top seed, the Western Conference is much tougher than the Eastern Conference this year.
Quarterback Daquan Neal leads the Panthers offense as a dual-threat. Neal has racked up 1,490 yards through the air and 637 yards on the ground this year.
On defense, the Panthers have the second-best scoring defense in the league and the second-best pass rush.
Bay Area starts their playoff run with a matchup against the San Diego Strike Force. Due to an IFL scheduling quirk, this is the fifth time these two teams have played this year.
Bay Area is 3-1 against San Diego, but three of the four games have been one-score games. They also just played each other last week, and Bay Area won 30-20.
Bay Area will have to make it through this matchup and then face off against the Arizona / Vegas winner. Both ends are going to be tough to get through, and then they’ll have to face Green Bay in the 2024 IFL National Championship. At less than 4-to-1 odds, this isn’t a great play.
2024 Indoor Football League National Championship Dark Horse: Arizona Rattlers +900
The Arizona Rattlers are coming into the playoffs as the hottest team in the league. The Rattlers earned their way into the top four teams in the Western Conference by winning seven of their last eight. Their only loss came against the Vegas Knight Hawks.
The Rattlers lost both of their matchups against the Knight Hawks this year, but both games were decided by less than a touchdown.
Vegas started the year 7-0 but slumped badly in the second half of the season and finished the year 11-5. This is a prime spot for Arizona to get their first win against the Knight Hawks.
Former University of Montana quarterback Dalton Sneed leads Arizona’s offense. Sneed missed a few games early in the year but has thrown for 1,886 yards while racking up 40 touchdowns against only nine interceptions.
If Arizona can get past the quarterfinal matchup, they’ll face either Bay Area or San Diego in the semifinal round. The Rattlers won in San Diego but lost a pair of tight matches against the Bay Area Panthers.
Arizona is the hottest team in the league, and they’re also among the most experienced. The Rattlers have had the same head coach since 2008, and they’ve made the playoffs every year since joining the IFL in 2017. Getting this team at 9-to-1 is a long shot, but it’s a long shot worth a sprinkle.
