We head to a birdie fest this week as The PGA Tour hits TPC Twins Cities. This is a staple design we see on The PGA Tour that has yielded winners who hit the ball a very long way. With that being the case, the best of the leaderboard has been players who plot their way around and spike with the irons or the putter. Tony Finau Lower Than 5 Birdies
Yeah, this course suits Tony well, but we are buying him at an absolute high with this line. Tony has been hitting the ball well, but I would prefer we short him on day one and wait for the line to move down for us to pounce on it. Finau is a great player, but we will fade him in round one of The 3M Open.
Patrick Rodgers Less Than 2.5 Bogeys
I like Rodgers to get off to a great start this week. His work with the driver this week should position him for success. If you are driving the ball long and straight, you have few opportunities to mess up around here.
By no means is his iron play great, but I trust him to hit greens with his middle irons, which should lead to few birdies and a ton of pars. That is all we need if we are simply looking to avoid bogeys. Run with Rodgers to cash you an Underdog Fantasy Pick’em slip.
