Best Bet For Tuesday (July 9th): MLB Predictions

OAKLAND ATHLETICS VS BOSTON RED SOX

Start Time – 7:10 PM EST

After an off day for both teams on Monday, the lowly Oakland Athletics kick off a three-game series in fabled Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox tomorrow. Despite Oakland stinking it up, as expected, my best bet for Tuesday involves their starting pitcher.

And it’s a positive play on that starting pitcher, Joey Estes. The youngster, in his first full season in The Show, is one of the bright spots for Oakland this season. He’s pitched very well over his 10 appearances, only giving up 4 runs or more in three of them. And he’s coming off a complete game shutout (a “Maddux”, no less). Let’s hope the bright lights at Fenway aren’t too much for him tomorrow night.
