10 NFL Future Bets for the 2024 NFL Season
1. 2024 Super Bowl Champion
Top 10 Odds
Chiefs +550
49ers +600
Ravens +900
Lions +1200
Bills +1200
Bengals +1300
Texans +1600
Eagles +1700
Cowboys +1700
Packers +1900
Pick: Eagles +1700
Let’s kick it off with the most popular NFL future bet every season—the winner of the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls and are looking to become the first team in NFL history to three-peat. It’s hard to ever bet against them, but also hard to bet on them at this price.
The Philadelphia Eagles are in the perfect number range of a team capable of winning it all, and I want to grab a good number. Two seasons ago, they were the champions of the NFC, then followed that up, starting 10-1 last season.
Things fell apart quickly, unfortunately for the Eagles. However, they’ve got the route of veteran coordinators this season, bringing on defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
The Eagles added Saquon Barkley to bolster their offense and paid both star receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. If Jalen Hurts can get back to his almost MVP level of 2022, this Eagles team could be dangerous fast, and holding a 17/1 ticket on them would be huge.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers Over 8.5 Wins (+140)
Mike Tomlin has been the head man in Pittsburgh for the last 17 seasons. He is now the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL with Bill Belichick’s departure from the New England Patriots. In those 17 seasons, Tomlin has had a record worse than .500 exactly zero times. So, you are getting him at plus money to win one more game than .500, which he’s done 14 times in 17 seasons, including the last four years.
Even with Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, and Duck Hodges at the helm, Tomlin has gotten it done. Now he gets two-time Super Bowl-playing quarterback Russell Wilson and maybe sprinkle in some electric Justin Fields as well. If anyone can make this happen, it’s Tomlin, who, outside of Andy Reid, is probably the best head coach in the league. Sign me up.
3. Most Regular Season Passing Yards
Top 10 Odds
Patrick Mahomes +500
CJ Stroud +600
Dak Prescott +650
Jared Goff +800
Tua Tagovailoa +800
Joe Burrow +850
Matthew Stafford +1400
Kirk Cousins +1400
Jordan Love +1600
Josh Allen +1800
Pick: Jared Goff +800
Jared Goff just got paid big time for a quarterback who seemed to be a salary dump when the Los Angeles Rams traded him away. Jared Goff has thrived in his Detroit home with potent offensive weapons around him. In 2023, Goff was second only to Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in total passing yards in the NFL with 4,575 yards.
Goff’s main weapons all return, with stud tight end Sam LaPorta and backfield weapon Jahmyr Gibbs both entering their second season. Goff has the advantage of playing home games in the dome, where he doesn’t have to face the elements as often. Expect this Lions offensive to fire on all cylinders from the kickoff of the season, and Goff could be an MVP sleeper candidate at 40/1.
4. AFC South Division Winner
Odds
Houston Texans +105
Jacksonville Jaguars +275
Indianapolis Colts +310
Tennessee Titans +1000
Pick: Indianapolis Colts +310

This could be one of the toughest divisions in all of football. A strong case could be argued for each team heading into the season, especially with big question marks around a few teams with young starting quarterbacks. One of the biggest questions is Anthony Richardson. To me, he is the right answer. This is a big bet on Richardson being the guy.
The young quarterback looked good in the small sample size we got in 2023 but was shut down early due to injury. Everyone is in love with this Texans team, and for good reason, but is CJ Stroud who we think he is, or does he come back down to earth a little in his sophomore season?
Lawrence and the Jaguars are always going to be in the mix, but don’t scream huge ceiling to me. Richardson is the guy who does, and with the cast of support around him, this is a good value bet.
5. 2024 NFL Receiving Yards Leader
Top 10 Odds
Tyreek Hill +600
CeeDee Lamb +700
Ja’Marr Chase +900
AJ Brown +1000
Amon-Ra St Brown +1100
Justin Jefferson +1100
Puka Nacua +1400
Garrett Wilson +1600
Drake London +1800
Devante Adams +1800
Pick: Amon-Ra St Brown +1100
I guess I’m in love with the potential of this Lions offense in 2024. If Jared Goff is going to lead the league in passing, it may be due to a huge season from this stud 24-year-old wide receiver. St Brown was third on the receiving yards leader list last season behind just Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb.
He was top five in targets with 164, top five in yards per game with 94.7, and second in the league in yards after the catch at 668. His explosive ability, combined with Goff’s ability to get the ball to him and then produce after the catch, could vault St Brown to the top of the board in 2024. When you start drafting those fantasy teams, St Brown is one name I’d have very high on your list.
6. Most Regular Season Receiving Yards by a Rookie
Pick: Marvin Harrison Jr +175
This is one where there’s no reason to get cute. We’re not even going to list the top 10 odds because you don’t need to look past number one. Marvin Harrison Jr at +175 is a steal here. One of the highest touted rookie wide receivers the league has seen in some time, Harrison should produce from day one.
He’s being inserted into a pretty competent offense, which isn’t always the case for a top-four NFL Draft pick. Kyler Murray has his doubters but has proven to be a solid quarterback.
James Connor has been a strong running back. Trey McBride popped at tight end last season, and Zay Jones was brought in to be Harrison’s running mate. We’ve seen Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase come in with good situations and produce right away, expect the same for Harrison Jr.
7. Best Regular Season Record
Top 10 Odds
Kansas City Chiefs +425
San Francisco 49ers +475
Baltimore Ravens +700
Cincinnati Bengals +850
Philadelphia Eagles +1100
Detroit Lions +1100
Dallas Cowboys +1600
Atlanta Falcons +1600
Houston Texans +1600
Green Bay Packers +1600
Pick: Philadelphia Eagles +1100
A lot of this is the same argument made above for the Eagles to win the Super Bowl. Last season, the Eagles were the last undefeated team at 10-1 before losing five of their last six games in the regular season to finish just 11-6.
In 2022 the Eagles tied the Kansas City Chiefs at 14-1 tied for the best record in the league. For a team that’s been in the mix, or had the best record over the last two seasons at 11/1 seems like a great price.
8. NFC West Division 1-2 Exacta
Pick: 1st San Francisco 49ers, 2nd Arizona Cardinals
We’re going to count the 49ers as the obvious square here. They’ve won the NFC West the last two years in a row and are coming off an overtime Super Bowl loss. They are the clear favorites to win the division.
Second place is where it gets more uncertain. The Rams are favored, but age and cap numbers are definitely making a difference in that team. Never count Sean McVay out by any means, though. For Seattle, is it still Geno Smith’s time, or does Sam Howell take over as the guy? They’ve got a new head coach and some things to iron out.
The Cardinals are being slept on a little. They are a very strong offense that’s ready to go to combat with the best of them. Kyler Murray to Marvin Harrsion Jr could be a lethal combination. Trey McBride, James Connor, and Zay Jones are there to help carry the load as well. Jonathan Gannon is poised for that strong second season as the Cardinals’ head coach.
9. Most Regular Season Rushing Yards
Top 10 Odds
Christian McCaffery +350
Jonathan Taylor +650
Saquon Barkley +800
Breece Hall +800
Kyren Williams +1000
Derrick Henry +1100
Bijan Robinson +1800
Josh Jacobs +2000
Isaiah Pacheco +2000
Zamir White +2200
Pick: Bijan Robinson +1800
Oh my good god Bijan Robinson.
pic.twitter.com/SkW5q9r6B4— JPAFootball (@jasrifootball) September 17, 2023
Christian McCaffery is going to be tough to top because we’ve all seen how good he is. However, if he misses any time or slows down at all, Robinson could be the guy who keeps up with him. Arthur Smith is gone, and Kirk Cousins comes to town.
This should open the offense up more, Robinson has already shown his explosive ability but seemed to be misused in the Smith system. If he becomes the main guy and steps up to the plate big time in 2024, he could have a massive year. At 18/1, this is definitely a risk worth taking.
10. MVP of the NFL
Top 10 Odds
Patrick Mahomes +500
Joe Burrow +900
CJ Stroud +1000
Josh Allen +1000
Lamar Jackson +1000
Jordan Love +1100
Justin Herbert +1400
Dak Prescott +1600
Brock Purdy +1800
Jalen Hurts +1800
Pick: Jalen Hurts
NFL MVP is a tough award to win, and as you can see by the odds. It goes to quarterbacks more than any other position by a lot. Generally, that quarterback also has to be on a pretty good team that secures the No. 1 seed in their commence. So not only does the quarterback have to be good, their team has to be good as well. Keep that in mind as you place your bet.
I’ve already made the case for the Eagles to win both the Super Bowl and have the best regular season record. If they are going to do those things, it’s because Jalen Hurts goes off this season, and plays to the level he did two seasons again.
Also, you are getting a great number on everything around a team that made the Super Bowl two seasons ago and started 10-1 last year. If the Eagles come out hot again in 2024, you won’t see these types of numbers.
