2023/24 Fantasy Basketball Guard Rankings

1 Luka Doncic (DAL – PG)
2 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC – PG,SG)
3 Tyrese Haliburton (IND – PG,SG)
4 Stephen Curry (GSW – PG,SG)

There is a very clear top tier for fantasy basketball guards for 2023/24, and it’s these four guys. And it is pretty much these four guys in this exact order on any fantasy basketball guard rankings you look at. Not only that, but they will all probably be off the board if you’re stuck drafting past pick seven in your league. If you end up with any of the four, you should be good.

5 Damian Lillard (MIL – PG)
6 LaMelo Ball (CHA – PG,SG)
7 Kyrie Irving (DAL – PG,SG)
8 Devin Booker (PHO – SF,SG)
9 Trae Young (ATL – PG)
10 Donovan Mitchell (CLE – PG,SG)
11 Anthony Edwards (MIN – SG,SF)

Tier two isn’t too shabby either, and will all be snatched up pretty early. You’ve got a lot more question marks with this group, however. How will Damian Lillard produce now that he isn’t the #1 option? Can LaMelo Ball stay healthy? Can Kyrie Irving’s galaxy brain stay in check and keep him on the court? Anthony Edwards is probably the player with the most potential in this batch.

12 Mikal Bridges (BKN – SG,SF)
13 James Harden (PHI – PG,SG)
14 Desmond Bane (MEM – SF,SG)
15 Kawhi Leonard (LAC – SF,SG)
16 Paul George (LAC – SF,PF,SG)
17 Fred VanVleet (HOU – PG)
18 Dejounte Murray (ATL – PG,SG)
19 Jalen Brunson (NYK – PG)
20 DeMar DeRozan (CHI – SF,SG)
21 Darius Garland (CLE – PG)
22 Jaylen Brown (BOS – SG,SF)
23 Cade Cunningham (DET – PG,SG)
24 Jrue Holiday (BOS – PG,SG)

Tier three. I’d avoid James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George unless you can get a real discount on them. Mikal Bridges is the gem of the batch and still has plenty of room to grow his game in Brooklyn.

25 De’Aaron Fox (SAC – PG)
26 Zach LaVine (CHI – SG,SF)
27 Jamal Murray (DEN – PG,SG)
28 Brandon Ingram (NOR – PF,SF,SG)
29 Jordan Poole (WAS – PG,SG)
30 Tyrese Maxey (PHI – PG,SG)
31 O.G. Anunoby (TOR – SF,SG)
32 Jalen Williams (OKC – PF,SF,SG)
33 Josh Giddey (OKC – PF,PG,SF,SG)
34 Franz Wagner (ORL – PF,SF,SG)
35 Derrick White (BOS – PG,SG)
36 Tyler Herro (MIA – PG,SG)
37 Bradley Beal (PHO – PG,SG)
38 Devin Vassell (SAS – SG,SF)
39 Terry Rozier (CHA – PG,SG)
40 Tyus Jones (WAS – PG)
41 Chris Paul (GSW – PG)
42 Ja Morant (MEM – PG)

If you’re willing to wait out Ja Morant’s lengthy suspension, you could get a steal. You’ve got to like Josh Giddey’s potential, not to mention his four-position eligibility.

43 Anfernee Simons (POR – PG,SG)
44 CJ McCollum (NOR – PG,SG)
45 Klay Thompson (GSW – SG,SF)
46 Buddy Hield (IND – SG,SF)
47 Austin Reaves (LAL – SF,SG)
48 Markelle Fultz (ORL – PG,SG)
49 Marcus Smart (MEM – PG,SG)
50 D’Angelo Russell (LAL – PG,SG)
51 Tre Jones (SAS – PG)
52 Spencer Dinwiddie (BKN – PG,SG)
53 Josh Hart (NYK – SG,SF)
54 De’Anthony Melton (PHI – PG,SG)
55 Mike Conley (MIN – PG)
56 Malcolm Brogdon (POR – PG,SG)
57 Bogdan Bogdanovic (ATL – PF,SF,SG)

Anfernee Simons is an interesting young player worth taking a stab at from this tier of players. With Damian Lillard and his high usage in Milwaukee now, the kids will be let loose in Portland this season. And look at former #1 overall pick Markelle Fultz, actually making himself into a viable player and a viable fantasy basketball option.

58 Jalen Green (HOU – PG,SG)
59 Scoot Henderson (POR – PG)
60 Jordan Clarkson (UTH – PG,SG)
61 Kevin Huerter (SAC – SG,SF)
62 Ben Simmons (BKN – PF,PG,SG)
63 Bruce Brown Jr. (IND – PG,SF,SG)
64 Shaedon Sharpe (POR – SF,SG)
65 Collin Sexton (UTH – PG,SG)
66 Gary Trent Jr. (TOR – PG,SG)
67 Immanuel Quickley (NYK – PG,SG)
68 Norman Powell (LAC – SG,SF)
69 Russell Westbrook III (LAC – PG)
70 Kyle Lowry (MIA – PG)
71 Jaden Ivey (DET – PG,SG)
72 Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DEN – SF,SG)
73 Cole Anthony (ORL – PG)
74 Bojan Bogdanovic (DET – PF,SF,SG)
75 Bennedict Mathurin (IND – SF,SG)
76 Dennis Schroder (TOR – PG)
77 Josh Richardson (MIA – SG)
78 RJ Barrett (NYK – SG,SF)

The young Canadian guard tier (Sharpe, Mathurin, Barrett). Are you willing to take a flyer on Ben Simmons?! How about rookie Scoot Henderson, part of that aforementioned Portland youngster movement?

79 Keldon Johnson (SAS – SF,SG)
80 Caleb Martin (MIA – SF,SG)
81 Matisse Thybulle (POR – SG,SF)
82 Alex Caruso (CHI – PG,SG)
83 Dillon Brooks (HOU – SG,SF)
84 Luguentz Dort (OKC – SG,SF)
85 Caris LeVert (CLE – SG,SF)
86 Jevon Carter (CHI – PG, SG)
87 Donte DiVincenzo (NYK – SF,SG)
88 Malik Monk (SAC – SG,SF)
89 Tim Hardaway Jr. (DAL – SG,SF)
90 Ausar Thompson (DET – SF,SG)
91 Delon Wright (WAS – PG,SG)
92 Jalen Suggs (ORL – PG,SG)
93 Quentin Grimes (NYK – SG,SF)
94 Coby White (CHI – PG,SG)
95 Terance Mann (LAC – SG,SF)
96 Royce O’Neale (BKN – SF,SG)
97 Patrick Beverley (PHI – PG)
98 Eric Gordon (PHX – SG,SF)
99 Ayo Dosunmu (CHI – SG)
100 Luke Kennard (MEM – PG,SG)

The rest. But not a bad batch of players. I’m a sucker for rookies, so Ausar Thompson might be the player I target out of this group.
