#23 Herd That (Marshall Alumni) vs #7 The Money Team
After a first-round dismantling of last-second fill-in team Peoria All-Stars 80-65, Herd That has their sights set on The Money Team. In Round 1, Herd That used good ball movement, shooting, and teamwork to drop 80. With the Elmore brothers dishing and shooting from the guard slots, while Jacorey Williams and Zach Smith attack the basket, Herd That has scoring chops. The Money Team is not going to be an easy out and are -7 favorites. With NBA guards Tony Wroten and Jordon Crawford working around the perimeter and former Gonzaga-standout Kyle Wiltjer working inside TMT have the talent to advance. So long as the line stays above -5 for TMT, take the underdog Herd That.
TBT may have some talented offensive talents, teams have not been hitting the over. For the past three days, no games have hit the over. With the over set at an enticing 157.5, you may be tempted to take the over, avoid the over unless it drops below 149.5. TMT and Herd That will provide some offensive moments, but based on how every other game has gone avoid the over for most TBT odds and picks.
Picks: Herd That (+7) and the Under 157.5
#15 Armored Athlete vs #2 Overseas Elite
Although the jerseys say Overseas Elite, this is not the team that won four-straight TBT Championships. Gone is much of the overseas pros that made up an unselfish core that played beautiful basketball. Coming in to replace DJ Kennedy and Errick McCollum is an “Iso” Joe Johnson lead squad. They have the talent to be worthy of the two seed, but Armored Athlete comes in with a squad filled with talent, particularly at the guard position. Scott Machado and John Roberson combined for 49 points in a 98-91 win over Power of the Paw. Overseas Elite sits at -6.5 favorites and that seems like too large a spread against a talented opponent. Elite will most likely win, but look for AA to cover any spread over 4.

Remember, no overs have been hit in the second round, but Armored Athlete played in one of the few games to hit the over so far. If you are feeling risky and believe in the offensive ability of Armored Athlete’s guards and think Iso Joe will go off, then take the over. However, our advice is to stay away from it at the present 158.5. If the over/under approaches 150.5 then you can definitely consider the over for this one.
