College Football DFS Picks for Week 2: Best DraftKings Plays (Saturday, September 7)

Here are the top week 2 options to fill your DFS rosters for Saturday September 7th’s card.

QUARTERBACK: Kelly Bryant

$7700 DraftKings; $9,900 FanDuel

West Virginia @ Missouri: Saturday September 7th: 12 PM EST (Missouri -14; 62.5)

Mizzou quarterback Kelly Bryant had a solid debut in a loss to Wyoming putting up 423 yards on 31 of 48 passing with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Despite big numbers, his solid play was overshadowed by a fumble early in the second quarter. This fumble ended up being a big turning point leading to a Wyoming scoop and score.

Week 2 Bryant faces off against a West Virginia defense who last season were one of the nation’s worst defending the pass surrendering an average of 267.9 yards a game through the air. The WVU defense ranked 119th in the nation in quarterback completions allowing 21.5 per game. Look for Bryant to have a lot of success and find the end zone quite a bit in what projects to be a high scoring game.

WIDE RECEIVER: Rondale Moore

$8,100 DraftKings; $10,000 FanDuel

Vanderbilt @ Purdue: Saturday September 7th: 12 PM EST (Purdue -7; 56)

Vanderbilt struggled last season defensively especially closing out the season surrendering an average of 326.7 passing yards per game in the final three games. Expect a lot of their struggles to continue this season as they adjust losing their best defensive player in Joejuan Williams.

Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore is coming off a fantastic rookie season where he caught 114 passes for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was alas a factor in the rushing game with 21 attempts for 213 yards.

Moore got the season started off right in week 1 hauling in 11 receptions for 124 yards and 1 touchdown versus Nevada. Although he is a very expensive play at the wide receiver position, there is tremendous upside.

Flex: QUARTERBACK Adrian Martinez

$7,000 DraftKings; $9,000 FanDuel

Nebraska @ Colorado: Saturday September 7th: 3:30 PM EST (Nebraska -4.5; 63.5)

In 2018 opponents averaged a very high 33.2 passing attempts versus the Colorado defense with that number substantially higher at Folsom Field with 38.2 attempts.

Last season the Cornhuskers found a lot of success passing ranking them 46th in the nation in passing yards per game and averaged 255.4 on the road. They closed the season out strong averaging 36 points a game throughout the final six games.

Although week 1 was a poor performance for the Cornhuskers, Martinez still threw for 178 yards on 13 of 22 completions. If he can stay healthy expect a big season and similar offensive numbers like last year’s where he surpassed 2,600 passing yards and 17 total touchdowns.

RUNNING BACK: Adrian Killins Jr.

$5,600 DraftKings; $9,000 FanDuel

Central Florida @ Florida Atlantic: Saturday September 7th: 7 PM EST (Central Florida -10.5; 67)

Adrian Killins Jr. is coming off two back-to-back 700+ rushing seasons. In 2017 he had 122 attempts for 790 yards and 10 touchdowns including a long of 96. 2018 was similar in terms of rushing yards with 715 rushing yards on 147 attempts.

Look for him to have an impact versus a Florida Atlantic team who surrendered an average of 192.2 rushing yards a game and recently surrendered 322 to the Badgers.

Killins Jr. is always a threat to break free for long yardage plays, and should be able to score some extra fantasy points recording at least one touchdown.
