Atlanta Dream vs Phoenix Mercury

Start Time: 10:00 PM EST

The Atlanta Dream are the reason I didn’t sweep my picks on Tuesday, as I had them to cover the spread against the Las Vegas Aces, and instead they got spanked by 15 points in Sin City. Not cool.

So that also means this is a road back-to-back for the Dream as they head from Las Vegas on Tuesday to Phoenix on Wednesday to face the Mercury. And the Mercury are stingy at home in the PHX Arena, winning nine of 12 contests on their home floor this season.

To make matters worse for the visitors, Atlanta will be without All-Star guard Rhyne Howard again tomorrow night as she continues to recover from a knee injury. The better team playing at home, I have Phoenix as a 5.5-point favorite for Wednesday night. So, despite expecting the Mercury to win, I think the Dream will cover.
